![]() Overall, keep things simple against the Maid – avoid trying to build for extreme combos. It may be viable at some point to tank the measly 200 Damage that Deception does and attempt to make turns through Slam and other Delays. Her second transition occurs at HP = 40%, and Deception is an Action-Over-Time attack that emanates around her after she teleports although the game does not reflect this warning. A Swordmaster with the +400 Armor memory on sidestep will tank it at 0HP loss, as will a Shieldbearer with Blacksmith’s Grace. For instance, Revenge Dance is considered a boost, and will be attacked by Lost Love Shadow Round is a ranged attack etc…Īdditionally, The Maid’s Reaping attack does far less damage than the 500+ damage advertised. The key to fighting the Maid is to keep effects that persists across one of the Maid’s turns to an absolute minimum – this is to avoid delayed effects from triggering one of the Maid’s interventions after she switches to another defense. The Maid’s interrupts appear to be un-interruptible by Soulslinger’s Interrupt Shot. ![]() The Maid will counter Melee, Ranged or Boosts randomly, therefore Accepting Stance and Vital Grace may offer alternative attack routes for a Soulslinger with Spirit Haste. The Maid employs interrupts as well as reaction skills that buff herself, including one that may potentially boost armor to unmanageable levels. Never go burst + shadow rounds with your soul slingers or else they’ll RIP if she puts that ranged intercept up. Keep that interrupting shot up on one of your soul slingers at all times. That said, two soul slingers are a good idea. This is because of her interrupt against ranged attacks. ![]() The maid is one of those fights you can’t spam the shadow round + intercepting shot combo if that’s what you’re doing. When she activates her melee interruption, shoot her down with your gun girls (activating shadow rounds is good at this point), and vice versa. She uses one specifically for ranged attacks, and one for melee. The key though is paying attention to which interruption ability she uses. Put it on normal attacks for the soul slingers, shadow rounds or even better, “the stealing” on your scythe dancer. Armour breaking memories on at least two of your girls is your best friend here. Saving grace on the shieldbearer is really helpful. On a serious note: I recommend scythedancer, a shieldbearer and two soulslingers. You’ll be able to tear apart the armor of foes and reap your way through the dark army from the very beginning.Well yeah, she’s op “with those interrupts.those armour buffs.” Meaning that if you reach the end of your current play-though, you do not need to unlock the Scythedancer again for each subsequent run. With this complete, the class is also unlocked for all future runs. With the fight complete, the outcome is irrelevant and the class will be unlocked regardless of your success or failure and the player will be able to germinate Scythedancers at will. Once the Maid has been engaged, and her HP begins to drop, there will be a short scene wherein the player gains their first Scythedancer. Players will need to reach this boss fight in order to unlock The Scythedancer. The boss fight in this portion of the game is called “The Maid”. The player will first need to reach the Third Era of the game, called the Broken Beauty Era.
